Moving into our care home

If you are looking for care for your loved ones during this period of isolation, we can still help. Although we have restricted visits to our care homes we feel it is even more important to provide those looking for care, the opportunity to find out more about us. 

With this in mind we are scheduling calls with our Home Managers instead of face to face show rounds in our homes so we can give you all the information you need. We can answer your questions about availability, the type of care required, the assessment process, our Covid-19 strategy, the types of activities still on offer, our food and dining offer, fees, how we can make the move into a new home easy and much, much more. We are keen to support and reassure you in what is a challenging time, so please feel free to arrange a call with our Home Manager and let us help you find the right care for your loved ones.

Prestwood’s three delightful care homes are set in 55 acres of privately owned woodland.  The woodland carpet changes colour throughout the seasons playing host to snowdrops early in the year, then daffodils heralding the arrival of Spring, bluebells in May and an ongoing variety of meadow flowers follow whilst the leaves on the trees and shrubs are ablaze with reds, oranges and yellows. The River Stour runs through lush grazing land and a whole variety of wildlife flourishes. This landscape provides a stunning view for many of the rooms at our care homes and is one of the things that will make you feel at ease at Prestwood.

We pride ourselves on our exceptional, highly trained team of staff who provide professional, person-centered care. They put residents at the heart of everything they do and ensure there is always a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Every day at Prestwood can be different with opportunities to take part in organised events or supported activities, taking in the beautiful grounds and gardens, relaxing in a quiet area or socialising with friends and dining on the seasonal menus on offer.

Prestwood Coach House is celebrating its 30^th anniversary this year and continues to provide nursing and residential services in the beautiful setting of the Prestwood Estate.   Prestwood Lodge is celebrating it’s 5^th birthday following a complete refurbishment in 2015 and is ideal for clients who want to enjoy a stunning residential setting and facilities with just the right amount of care and support to lead an independent lifestyle.  Prestwood House is currently closed for refurbishment.
